A health talk on ‘Oesteoporosis’ will be organized by Wockhardt Hospitals on 16th October, 2011 at Arvindbhai Maniyar Hall, Jublee Garden, Rajkot.

Osteoporosis is a disease in which thinning of bone tissue and loss of bone mass occurs. It occurs more commonly in older aged people above the age of 50. Patients suffering from osteoporosis are at a higher risk of suffering from fracture, as their bones are thinner and fragile and a fall from even a small height can lead to serious fractures.

Dr. Neeraj Vasavada, Consultant Spine Surgeon and Dr. Rupesh Mehta, Consultant Joint Replacement Surgeon from Wockhardt Hospitals will speak about Osteoporosis, its risks and possible treatments. The experienced shake hands & share experiences at MASCON 2011

It promised to be the biggest conglomeration of doctors & surgeons and it promised to clock hours ticking with rich experience! MASCON 2011 – the day-long conference on ‘Complications of Laparoscopic Surgery’ held at Rajkot did deliver all its promises.

Organised by Wockhardt Hospitals in collaboration with ‘Association of Surgeons Rajkot’, MASCON 2011 witnessed renowned surgeons sharing their experiences on Biliary Surgeries, Hernia Repair, Upper GI Surgeries, Colorectal Surgeries, Oncosurgeries, Appendectomy & Adhesiolysis.

The conference had the pleasure to hear from renowned national & international speakers like Dr. Mihir Patel (Gastroenterologist – Florida), Dr. Vipulroy Rathod (Endoscopic Surgeon – Mumbai), Dr. Roy Patnakar (Laparoscopic Surgeon – Mumbai), Dr. Subodh Varshney (Laparoscopic Surgeon – Bhopal). Beginning with a welcome speech from the President of ‘Association of Surgeons Rajkot’, the conference played host to a variety of Medical Science Sessions, Panel Discussions & Video Presentations.

Come 3rd July 2011, the city of Rajkot will witness the inflow of doctors & surgeons. Wockhardt Hospitals in collaboration with ‘Association of Surgeons of Rajkot’ is organising a single day conference on ‘Complications of Laparoscopic Surgery’.

Christened MASCON 2011, this conference will see recognised surgeons share their experience on the various complications in laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Rajan Jagad (Consultant-Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgeon) is spearheading the event in the position of ‘Organizing Secratary-MASCON-2011’. Laparoscopic surgeries is the latest phenomena in improving patient experience and outcomes, and this conference serves as the vehicle for bringing the sharpest minds of the country together for sharing their experiences.

The pre-lunch session of the conference will witness renowned Surgeons sharing their experiences on the ‘Complications of Laparoscopic Surgery’ with focus on Biliary Surgeries, Hernia Repair, Upper GI Surgeries, Colorectal Surgeries, Oncosurgeries, Appendectomy & Adhesiolysis.
